The 3rd Capital Overseas w88 Forum and International w88 Seminar was successfully held
School News Network (Contributed by Chinese College)From July 15 to 17, 2024, the 3rd Capital Overseas w88 Forum and International w88 Seminar was successfully held at our school. The meeting is guided by the Cultural Exchange Department of the Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese, the China w88 Foundation, the Beijing Overseas Chinese Federation, and the China w88 Network, hosted by the Capital Overseas w88 Alliance, hosted by the School of Languages and Literature of the University of International Business and Economics, and supported by the editorial department of the journal "w88 and Research", Chinese Language Teaching Publishing House, Tangfeng Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Heming Education Technology Co., Ltd.
The conference was attended by more than 300 w88, international w88 and related experts and scholars at home and abroad. They were held online and offline at the same time. The relevant topics and contents aroused heated discussions among the participants.

On the morning of the 16th, the opening ceremony was hosted by Zhou Chenmeng, director of the Museum and Archives (School History Museum).

Wang Qiang, Vice President of the University of International Business and Economics, delivered an opening speech
Vice President Wang Qiang first extended a warm welcome to all the leaders, experts and scholars present, thanked the relevant units for their guidance and support for this conference, and introduced the construction and development of the international w88 discipline of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, University of International Business and Economics. Vice President Wang Qiang said that overseas w88 and international w88 complement each other and promote each other, and promote the steady and long-term development of the two is the common expectation of building a richer and more diverse world culture and realizing a community with a shared future for mankind.

Zheng Jieshan, President of the Indonesian w88 Federation, delivered a speech
President Zheng Jieshan first introduced the three stages of modern w88 in Indonesia, and then started from the Chinese group who still retained the dialect of the country of origin, introduced the current situation, differences, difficulties and challenges of w88 in Indonesia, and expressed that he hoped that all experts and scholars could provide suggestions for overseas w88 in Indonesia, and sincerely hoped that international w88 would pay more attention to overseas w88 and pay attention to the difficulties and challenges faced by Chinese group who still retained the dialect of the country of origin.

The keynote report of the conference on the morning of the 16th was hosted by Yumei, the editorial department of Jinan University's "Chinese Teaching and Research". Five experts gave wonderful keynote reports.

Professor Zhao Yang, Dean of the School of Chinese Language Education of Peking University, introduced the current status, complexity, "three religions" of inherited languages, etc. with the title "Prospects of Chinese Teaching in the Background of Inherited Language Research", and discussed the differences and connections between Chinese teaching research and second language acquisition.

Professor Guan Daoxiong from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA, took "Teaching and Practice for the New Generation of Chinese in China" as an example, and introduced the current situation of business Chinese teaching in North American universities from the perspective of practical teaching. He pointed out that in response to the needs of the new generation of Chinese in China, front-line teachers should provide language learning and skill training placed in business scenarios, choose professional knowledge input based on business Chinese learning, and design business practical activities that combine with professional language application.

Professor Li Baogui, Dean of the School of International Education of Liaoning Normal University, analyzed the current historical background of overseas w88, and the logical basis of w88 to help the overseas communication of Chinese culture with the title "The logical basis and direction of w88 to help the overseas communication of Chinese culture"Original directionIn-depth analysis. Finally, it is pointed out that in the new era and new journey, we should give full play to the unique advantages of w88, promote the high-quality development of w88, and contribute to the overseas dissemination of Chinese culture.

Professor Liang Xia from the East Asia Department of Washington University in St. Louis, USA, introduced the recent development of Chinese teaching in American universities, the basic characteristics of Chinese students, and the content and methods of Chinese-inherited language teaching in Chinese classes with the title "The Characteristics, Contents and Methods of Chinese-individual Chinese Teaching in American universities", and shared several basic methods to improve the learning motivation of Chinese students.

Professor Zhu Yong of Beijing Foreign Studies University emphasized the urgency and importance of overseas w88 with the title of "The Role of Japanese Chinese Children in Family Language Planning", clarified the definition and significance of family language planning, and used specific research as an example to explore the factors that will affect children's initiative.

Professor Wang Haidan, Department of East Asian Languages, University of Hawaii, was divided into two articles, introducing the century-old history and project characteristics of the University of Hawaii Chinese Language, the current status and prospects of Hawaii Chinese teaching.

The second half of the conference's keynote report on the morning of the 17th was an online report, hosted by Associate Professor Qin Han, Vice Dean of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, University of International Business and Economics.

Teacher Liu Meiru from Louis Clark University in Oregon, USA, took the title "Rap Culture: A New Path to Teaching Overseas Chinese-American Teaching" and made full use of Crashen's comprehensibility input theory to integrate rap into teaching, and through "pyramid-style teaching" to enable students to quickly remember what they want to master. At the same time, it also reflects on its limitations.

Mr. Shi Zhongqi from Columbia University in the United States took the title "Current Situation and Prospects of American Chinese Teaching". First, he introduced the current situation of other languages other than English in the United States. Then he introduced the current situation of w88 in the United States - w88 is completed by different institutions at different stages. Finally, he proposed that the development of w88 requires the joint efforts of teachers, students, parents, science and technology, and other parties.

Mr. Chen Mo from the School of International Cultural Exchange of Renmin University of China took the title of "Second Language Learning Identification in Cross-Cultural Collision". He first introduced the cross-cultural Collision with the example of "Ji Fu Club", and then introduced the cross-cultural communication, and elaborated on the factor affecting oral acquisition - "identification", and obtained relevant inspirations.

At the closing ceremony,Director Zhou Chenmeng made a summary speech, thanking again for coming to gather the experts, scholars and staff from the University of Trade and Economic Affairs from afar, and expressed his hope that everyone will transform the feelings and gains of this seminar into more in-depth thinking and practice, and promote the development of overseas w88 and international w88.

A total of more than 80 offline and more than 220 online representatives of member units of the Capital Overseas w88 Alliance, guests at home and abroad, and representatives of Chinese students from overseas participated in the forum and exchanged and shared. The forum also received nearly 90 submissions from home and abroad, and will be compiled and published in the future.To ensure the successful convening of this conference, more than 20 teachers and students from the School of Chinese Language and Literature of our school served as volunteer services and successfully completed the task. Global Network, China Overseas Chinese Network, Chinese Headlines, China International Education Television and other media reported the relevant content of the conference.
