Principal Zhao ZhongxiuIn his speech, he pointed out that the Asia-Pacific region is the engine of global economic growth and one of the most dynamic regions in the global economy. However, the current international situation is complex, and the external environment facing the Asia-Pacific economy is still severe. Coupled with factors such as the aging population and the slowdown in my country's economic growth, the Asia-Pacific region will face both opportunities and challenges in its future development. How to formulate reasonable policies to promote coordinated cooperation and common development of the Asia-Pacific regional economy is not only of profound significance to the global economic pattern and stability, but also crucial to expanding my country's institutional opening and promoting high-quality economic development. Through this seminar, we hope to have an in-depth analysis of the international economic situation and jointly explore future development opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Dr. Lin JianhaiIn his speech, he mentioned the historical evolution of the global economy, the current crises and challenges, as well as ways to deal with these challenges and the development achievements of Asia in the past two decades, and pointed out the importance of learning from historical experience and strengthening global cooperation. He also highlighted opportunities in emerging markets in terms of demographic changes and technological advances. Finally, Dr. Lin Jianhai wished this seminar a complete success.

Dr. Johannes WiegandConducted a project titled“Asia’s Structural Transformation—Past and Prospects”'s keynote speech. He gave an overview of the economic development in the Asia-Pacific region and made an outlook for the region's economic growth. In his speech, he also emphasized the importance of fiscal policy and monetary policy in dealing with current economic challenges. In addition, Dr. Johannes Wiegand also presented some structural and long-term development issues of the Asia-Pacific economy, and proposed that the IMF calls on all economies to strengthen policy coordination and cooperation to jointly address current economic challenges and promote sustainable development.

Dr. He Huishared the policy implications of China's high savings rate (especially the high savings rate of the low-income class), and pointed out that the impact of expanding social transfer payments and strengthening the social security network on China's household savings rate, as well as the increase in the share of the service industry driven by expanded domestic demand, together constitute an important feature of China's economic structural transformation. In the future, with the continued development of the economy and the continuous improvement of policies, China is expected to play an even more important role in the global economy.

Professor Tan XiaofenExpressed unique insights on economic growth, inflation levels, challenges and policy responses in the Asia-Pacific region. He pointed out that despite facing many challenges and risks, countries in the Asia-Pacific region are still expected to achieve sustained, stable and healthy economic growth by strengthening policy coordination, deepening economic cooperation, promoting economic structural adjustment and innovative development.

Professor Yin JianfengConducted an in-depth analysis and outlook on China’s current economic and financial situation. In addition, he also mentioned the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and digitalization on the Chinese economy, believing that these technologies will bring new growth points to the Chinese economy.

During the questioning and communication sessions, teachers and students"Environmental policies and financial policies for green transformation in the Asia-Pacific region"、"China's local government debt"、“The relationship between geopolitical risks and cross-border RMB transactions”and other issues were discussed with the guests on site.
