Competition Introduction
As the "Olympics" of the international legal community, the "Jesup" International Law Moot Court Competition is currently the largest and oldest moot court competition in the world, attracting approximately 700 universities from more than 100 countries and regions around the world to participate every year. This competition is committed to promoting the study and research of international law around the world. It is an important platform for domestic universities in my country to display the results of international law teaching and research and share the results of foreign-related legal education.
This competition is based on a fictional peninsula country facing sea level rise. It involves the interpretation of dispute settlement clauses in relevant regional organization treaties, the assertion of immunity by government officials accused of serious human rights violations, sea level rise and the determination of ocean baselines and the protection of maritime rights of coastal states, and the government recognition of the international community when multiple people claim to be the legitimate president of a country. It spans a wide range of fields and the legal relations are unprecedentedly complex. It poses a great challenge to the contestants' legal retrieval, application of provisions, and legal English ability.
Team introduction

It is composed of Zhang Jingyu (Class of 2022, also the team leader), Li Wanrui (Class of 2022) and Liu Biyi from the undergraduate "Experimental Class for Outstanding Foreign-related Economic and w88 Legal Talents" ("Foreign-related Experimental Class") Three students (Class of 2023) served as the main debaters, and Wu Yujie (Master of Law (Non-Law) (International Arbitration) of Class of 2023), Hui Kexin (Master of Laws of Class of 2024), and Xu Yuanqing (Class of 2023 student of the Undergraduate "Foreign-related Experimental Class") served as researchers. Game Review
Most of the members of this year’s International w88 casino team are new to moot court competition for the first time. Since its establishment in May last year, the team has started with consolidating the basic knowledge of public international law and conducted systematic and high-intensity training around the core legal issues involved in the competition. By gradually analyzing the complex legal issues in the case, the team members not only deepened their understanding of international legal theory, but also significantly improved their ability to research, analyze and apply international law in an all-English environment. During the nine-month preparation process, the team members always maintained a high degree of concentration and investment. Especially during the Spring Festival, everyone returned to w88 casino early and devoted themselves to intense training day after day, striving to be in the best condition for the competition.
On February 15th, the Jessup China Competition officially kicked off. In the round robin stage, the University of w88 and Economic Cooperation team played its first match against the Peking University team (the third runner-up this year). The main debaters Li Wanrui and Liu Biyi opened with clear and fluent statements and responded to the judge's questions comprehensively and accurately, demonstrating their solid legal skills and excellent expression skills. The competition was extremely fierce, with the Round Points being tied. When further comparing the Raw Points, although our team had a slight advantage in the court argument, it fell behind by a narrow margin in the pleadings section. In the end, we regrettably lost due to the slight difference in the total score.

The opponent's debater had a steady style and fluent expressions. Our main debaters Zhang Jingyu and Liu Biyi were calm, grasped the opponent's weak points in time and responded accurately, and finally won by a larger score. This further enhanced the team's confidence and laid a good foundation for subsequent games.

In the third game of the round robin, the University of w88 and Economics team played against the Central University of Finance and Economics team. Our main debaters Li Wanrui and Liu Biyi continued their stable performance, calmly responded to the judge's series of questions, responded quickly and accurately to their concerns, and demonstrated excellent on-the-spot reaction capabilities. In view of the fact that we were in the lead in both the court argument and pleadings sessions, our team once again secured victory and consolidated its dominant position in the round robin competition.

In the last game of the round robin, the University of w88 and Economics team faced the Nanjing University of Finance and Economics team. Our main debaters, Zhang Jingyu and Liu Biyi, played steadily and relaxedly. While directly attacking the weaknesses of the opponent's argument and responding forcefully, while calmly facing the judge's questions and answering accurately, he finally won successfully and brought a successful end to the round-robin competition.
