The Confucius Institute at Fukuyama University in Japan held the “China World Heritage Photo Exhibition”

On December 22, the “China World Heritage Photo Exhibition” hosted by the Confucius Institute at Fukuyama University grandly opened at the Fukuyama City Art Museum in Hiroshima Prefecture.

As of December 2015, there are a total of 48 Chinese World Heritage sites (including 10 natural heritage sites, 34 cultural heritage sites, and 4 dual natural and cultural heritage sites) that have been approved by UNESCO and included in the World Heritage List, ranking second in the world in terms of number. The 48 world heritage photographic images on display attracted more than 500 local citizens to watch.

After visiting the exhibition, many citizens were amazed by the large number of world heritage sites, the magnificent scenery and the rich culture in China. Citizens who visited the exhibition ranged from the elderly to children as young as two years old, as well as college students, middle w88 casino students and primary w88 casino students. Many people have traveled to China. The photos of world heritage sites such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City made them feel very familiar and recalled many past events during their travels. There is also a citizen who was born in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province at the end of World War II. After the war, she returned to Japan with her parents. She stood in front of a map of China and was very excited and told us her feelings for China. Many Japanese citizens who have never been to China said after watching the exhibition that it was the first time they knew that China has so many landscapes that are completely different from Japan, and they are eager to go to China to experience and feel these beautiful scenery and long culture in person.

This event not only presented the beautiful scenery of China to the eyes of Japanese citizens, but also allowed more Japanese citizens to learn about Chinese history and traditional culture, increased their interest in Chinese language learning and Chinese culture, and opened up a new way for the spread of Chinese culture.

On December 27, the “China World Heritage Photo Exhibition” concluded successfully. The six-day exhibition received strong support from the China National Tourism Administration’s Representative Office in Japan and Osaka Office.
