Teachers and students from non-common language departments of different universities across the country attended this lecture. Professor Liang took the construction of hybrid first-class undergraduate courses at Guangxi University for Nationalities as an example to introduce his experience in the construction of first-class courses in non-lingua franca. First of all, Professor Liang sorted out the goals, basic principles, construction content and recommended conditions of the "Ministry of Education's Implementation Opinions on the Construction of First-Class Undergraduate Curriculum" to give everyone an overall understanding of the requirements for the construction of first-class undergraduate courses.

 

 

The hybrid first-class undergraduate course of Guangxi University for Nationalities uses appropriate digital teaching tools to combine students’ online independent learning with offline teaching"Golden Lesson". Professor Liang stated that the hybrid teaching design must adhere to the teaching design concept of "student-centered" and "outcome-oriented", have golden course construction standards that reflect "gender equality", and integrate new requirements for major and course construction. In addition, special attention should be paid to the value and leadership of the course, and curriculum ideological and political education should be integrated into the teaching design, which is very important for first-class undergraduate courses.

 

 

 

Then, Professor Liang shared some of his efforts in specific teaching. He summarized the problems encountered in teaching and the methods to solve them, pointed out the path to solve teaching problems, provided his own teaching design method that organically integrated the three course stages, and provided ideas for optimizing non-common language teaching. Professor Liang also updated the course evaluation method, requiring diversification of evaluation subjects and diversification of evaluation methods. Through this series of efforts, Professor Liang’s hybrid first-class undergraduate course construction has achieved results.

 

 

 

Professor Liang responded to the question raised by classmates whether online teaching will affect students' learning efficiency in the context of the epidemic. He clarified that online and offline hybrid courses are not a method adopted due to the epidemic. This teaching model reflects a change in philosophy, not a change in form. Online and offline hybrid courses are completed based on modern technology and learning platforms. The formulation of the syllabus, the use of teaching materials, teaching methods and teaching effects are all different from ordinary online teaching, and the effect will be better.
