School News Network (contributed by the School of Marxism)On the afternoon of December 12, 2024, the fifth phase of our school’s “Teacher Sayings·Primary Sayings” teacher salon was held in the conference room 327 of the Integrity Building. The event is sponsored by the Party Committee Teachers’ Work Department/Human Resources Department and hosted by the School of Marxism.

This salon focuses on the discussion of scientific and technological ethics and analyzing the humanistic logic behind the technology. Associate Professor Li Xiaojie from the School of Marxism gave a special lecture on "Reflection on Artificial Intelligence Technology".

Wang Zhimin, a professor at the School of Marxism, shared his experience on the development trends of artificial intelligence technology, and pointed out that digital-based artificial intelligence is profoundly affecting all fields and links of education and teaching. Teachers of ideological and political courses should also actively adapt to the development trend of digital education, explore the application of technology in classroom organization and construction through digital means, continuously promote the construction of modern classrooms, and effectively enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of ideological and political courses.

This activity aims to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, build a communication platform for our school’s teachers in the field of cutting-edge research in higher education, guide teachers to focus on the world’s academic frontiers and major national needs, constantly learn new knowledge, new technologies and new theories, vigorously promote the spirit of educators, and create a strong atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education. In the future, the school will continue to carry out colorful activities such as the "Teacher Talk, First Voice" teacher salon to help build a high-quality and professional teacher team in the new era and contribute to a strong education country.
