w88 News Network (contributed by the w88 of Marxism)On December 19, Song Qingrun, professor of the Asian Regional Research Department of the w88 of Asia of Beijing Foreign Studies and researcher at the Southeast Asian Research Center, was a guest at the lecture hall of the famous teachers of our w88's "Scene and Policy" and gave an academic report entitled "Interconnection between China and Southeast Asia". Associate Professor Zhang Weiyu, director of the Department of Situation and Policy of the w88 of Marxism, chaired the academic report meeting.

w88 takes the interconnection between China and Southeast Asian countries under the background of the "Belt and Road" as the main line, and analyzes the close ties and common development of the two sides in multiple fields, especially from infrastructure construction to cultural exchanges, showing the breadth and depth of interconnection. w88’s academic report has both theoretical heights and practical cases, which has benefited a lot from the teachers and students present.

First, w88 conducted an in-depth analysis of the current international situation and introduced the background of connectivity between China and Southeast Asia. He stressed that in the context of globalization and regional economic integration, connectivity between China and Southeast Asia is not only a need for bilateral cooperation, but also the key to responding to global economic challenges and promoting regional stability and development.

Secondly, w88 emphasized the concept and connotation of transnational interconnection, including policy communication, facility connectivity, smooth trade, financial communication and people-to-people communication. He specifically pointed out that transnational connectivity is not at the cost of weakening the sovereignty of various countries, but on the basis of respecting sovereignty, a symbiotic system of equality, mutual assistance, and win-win cooperation.

Finally, w88 also discussed the interconnection progress between China and Southeast Asia in infrastructure construction, trade cooperation and cultural exchanges. He pointed out that with the advancement of the "Belt and Road" initiative, China's transportation, energy and communication network construction with Southeast Asia has achieved remarkable results, promoting regional economic integration.

At the exchange session, the audience actively interacted with Teacher Song. w88 also shared his views on topics such as China-Myanmar and China-Vietnam relations, responding to teachers and students' concerns and doubts about the current situation and prospects of connectivity between China and Southeast Asia and hot issues, which benefited the teachers and students present.
