The job supply and demand ratio in Beijing’s talent market is 2.2:1

Published: November 17, 2005 Edit:
We learned from the Beijing Municipal Personnel Bureau that in the third quarter of this year, Beijing’s talent market continued to maintain a booming supply and demand balance, with a job supply-demand ratio of 2.2:1. The demand for marketing professionals is more than 36,000, ranking first in the talent recruitment demand list for three consecutive quarters. Majors such as computer application and maintenance and accounting are in oversupply. Since the third quarter of this year, the demand for bachelor's degree or above has accounted for 62% of the total demand. Among them, the demand for undergraduates and above in electronic engineering and communication engineering accounts for more than 70% of the total demand. Young talents under the age of 30 account for 64% of floating talents; high-level compound talents aged 30 to 40 with certain work ability and experience are in demand in the market, accounting for 25% of the total recruitment demand. The concept of recruitment units has begun to change, and talents with special skills and multiple abilities are beginning to be favored. In addition, new recruitment and job search methods such as online recruitment are also gradually gaining popularity. As campus recruitment begins, college graduates have entered the talent market one after another, accounting for 14% of the total talent supply. (Xinhuanet)
