What is Chinese modernization?

But the textbook doesn’t tell us - what does it look like in concrete form? What is the texture under the touch? What's the temperature like inside it?

In the winter vacation of 2026, students from the University of w88 and Economics traveled to various parts of the motherland to see with their own eyes the China beyond the textbooks.

Qianhong——Seeing Red China

In Red China, we see the source and inheritance of spirit.

(1) The “route” of modernization

The "Searching for Quanzhou Porcelain Hairpins in Red" practice team came to Quanzhou, Fujian, and visited the Quanzhou Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery, the Hui'an Revolutionary Historical Memorial Hall, and the Shimao Maritime Silk Road Museum. At the intersection of history and reality, they asked about their original aspirations and thought about the responsibilities and responsibilities of contemporary youth.

The "Huxiang Red Gold Team" practice team walked into Leiyang City, Hengyang, Hunan Province, visited Peilanzhai, Leiyang City Martyrs Cemetery and other red cultural landmarks, measured history with their footsteps, looked back at the glorious years in the revolutionary sites, felt the original mission in front of the monument to the heroes, and pondered their thoughts from a professional perspective, giving a practical class with both red heritage and cultural depth.

(2) The "inheritor" of modernization

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Red Army's successful Long March reunification, the "Reunion of Fire" practice team went to Huining, Gansu Province, to pay homage to the old rendezvous site and the martyrs' cemetery, and carried out anti-war spirit propaganda at Huining No. 5 Middle w88 casino to pass on the spirit of the Long March to the younger generation.

The "Fish Traceability Cloud Chain" practice team went to Rongcheng, Shandong, to follow the footsteps of ancestors such as Gu Mu and Guo Yonghuai, to understand the innocent feelings of reform pioneers and serving the country with science and technology, and to transform this spiritual power into practical responsibilities that empower the fishery industry.

The soul of Chinese modernization flows all the way to this day from the sparks in Jinggangshan, the footprints on the Long March, and the declaration on the Tiananmen Gate Tower.

It is hot because it has never cooled down in people's hearts.

Thousands of Villages - Seeing Rural China

In rural China, we see the foundation and challenges of development.

(1) The “persistent” of modernization

The "Western Beijing Yange Xing" practice team went deep into Baiyu Village, Mentougou District, Beijing. By touching the temperature of intangible cultural heritage, talking to inheritors, and recording collective memories, they deeply understood the persistence of the older generation of artists in the face of inheritance difficulties.

The "Youxing Agriculture" practice team went to Youyang, Chongqing, and deeply realized that rural revitalization is rooted in the deep integration of regional characteristics and industrial reality, and witnessed the vivid practice of "aboriginal people" transforming ecological advantages into development advantages.

(2) Modernized “New Farmers”

The practice team of "Rich Inheritance" gathered in Shanghai and went deep into the Shanghai Gaoqiao Velvet Embroidery Museum and Innovation Park from a young perspective with a multi-disciplinary background. They witnessed how Shanghai's embroidery breaks age barriers with fashionable displays and achieves market transformation with cultural and creative products.

The "Splendid Miao Township" practice team went to Pengshui, Chongqing, focusing on the actual development of enterprises, going deep into fields, cooperatives and traditional Miao villages, and injecting youthful momentum into rural revitalization. Empower Miaomei Xiangxiang Cooperative with live training, and activate new momentum for online sales of agricultural products with the power of youth.

The roots of Chinese-style modernization are rooted in five thousand years of farming civilization.

It should be fast, but not lose its slowness; it should move forward, but not leave anyone behind.

Qianqi——Seeing Technology China

In contemporary China, we see the resilience and innovation of struggle.

(1) Modern "entruster"

The "Bay Area Voyage" practice team went deep into Mingyang Electric, Zhongshan, Guangdong, visited the forefront of China's intelligent manufacturing, and witnessed the hard-core strength of the physical industry.

The "Jingyun Qingxu" practice team visited Yangfang Village, Taiyuan, Shanxi, and witnessed the innovative practice of traditional brewing technology and modern agricultural development in the Jinyanju Vinegar Industry Workshop, and deeply realized the fundamental role of real industries in rural revitalization.

(2) Modern "breakout"

The "Jingshi Yuanhang" practice team went deep into Zhengzhou and Nanyang, Henan, and visited four benchmark companies, including Mixue Bingcheng and Senba Sensing, to explore innovative paths for Chinese companies to go overseas under the "Belt and Road Initiative" driven by new productivity.

The "'Anhui' Numbers Bring Glory" practice team went to Hefei, Anhui, visited innovation frontiers such as iFlytek and Anhui Innovation Museum, and explored innovative breakthrough paths for digital technology to empower regional development.

The "Zheli Tongxing" practice team went deep into Tongxiang, Zhejiang, visited the "Light of Wuzhen" supercomputing center and the Internet Science and Technology Museum, and witnessed how digital technology can break through through innovation to drive high-quality development of multi-industry integration.

(3) Modern "Guardian"

The "Wuzhou Traces" practice team went to Jinhua Yiwu to visit the International w88 City and the Global Digital w88 Center. As a clean energy source, nuclear power provides stable support for green development. From the first atomic bomb to the export of independent third-generation nuclear power technology abroad, students felt the spirit of innovation of people in the nuclear industry and were proud of China's nuclear power in helping the global energy transformation.

The bones of Chinese modernization are forged bit by bit with the hands of 1.4 billion people.

It never comes by waiting, but by fighting hard.

Conclusion

It turns out that what we see is the same China.

This winter vacation, 324 teams and 1,755 teachers and students visited villages, companies, and red old sites across the country. Thousands of villages, thousands of enterprises, and thousands of reds. When these three perspectives are superimposed, what we see is a more realistic and three-dimensional Chinese modernization:

It has speed, but does not abandon "slow" people;

It has hardness, but does not lose temperature;

It has a way of coming, so it knows where to go.
